The NFL is well into its first week of preseason, and Microsoft is celebrating the return of football to our TV screens with some new Surface Type Covers. There are 32 designs to pick from, featuring all the team logos, and the Type Covers will work with a Surface Pro 3 or Surface Pro 4. All of the designs will be available from today at Microsoft Stores in the US and Canada for $159.99. That's the same price as the Signature Surface Type Cover that originally debuted in April, but Microsoft isn't using the same "luxury" Alcantara fabric on its NFL Type Covers or the fingerprint reader found on a limited edition Surface Type Cover.
Microsoft has invested at least $400 million into its NFL deal, which sees coaches and players use Surface tablets on the sidelines to make team play calls. Madden NFL 17, due for release on August 23rd, will also feature Microsoft's brightly colored Surface tablets, and the software maker is planning new Xbox One S bundles in time for the launch of the latest Madden game.
