Acer Swift 7 can be made headlines for its incredibly slim build, simply add a ribbon thickness of the body of this laptop (actually a millimeter) and you get a much more versatile machine: Spin Acer 7.

the Spin 7 basically the Swift 7 with glory specifications exchanged looking for the power and flexibility. Quite literally, as the series as Lenovo Yoga, the Spin 7 screen rotates 360 degrees around its axis. You can fold it into a tent setup for watching Netflix, or turn around to use the laptop as a tablet. In any case, the hinge itself is firm and does not waver (too) when tapping Full HD 14-inch IPS touch screen of the Swift.

the aluminum unibody is a demon for fingerprints

Like the Swift, the Spin has a unibody aluminum which is fantastic - strong and light (2 6 pounds). However, it is also a demon to attract fingerprints (there was a liberal use Windex during the press preview at IFA), and when you fold the screen into tablet mode, there is a weird lip where the display ahead of the keyboard. This may seem a minor nuisance and Acer said it is to make the screen easier to fold, but the slight advantage of untidiness may annoy some.

Inside, you have an Intel Core i7 processor, a step on the i5 Spin 7 and up to 8GB of RAM and a hard disk of 256 GB SSD. Unfortunately, although the Spin is slightly thicker than the Swift (10.98 mm to 9.98 mm Swift), you still only get a pair of USB 3.1 ports type C and a headphone jack.

on the left side there is a power button and a rocker own volume in just the right place for easy access. Acer promises up to eight hours of battery life for Spin 7 -. Lower than the Swift, but enough to last a working day for most people

The Spin 7 goes on sale in North America and Europe in October, with prices from $ 1,199 or € 1299. that's at least $ 200 more expensive than the Swift, which is probably the most impressive feature, technically speaking, anyway.

However, the Spin 7 is certainly the most convenient of the two machines. A laptop with features like Swift record 7 can make headlines, of course, but if you are looking for ease of actual use, you're better off with a more powerful processor, touch screen and a display that is as flexible as it can be. And to get all that you want the Spin 7.
